    An Unexpected Gem

    I have to be honest, I did not like this tea on my first cup. To quote the great Uncle Iroh, it was very bracing. Puer is unlike most typical teas, and cocoa nibs are not "chocolate".

    But I am so happy that I kept drinking it. Once the unique flavors become familiar, their warmth, depth, and complexity come out. This is now my favorite tea I've ever had.

    That is so great to hear! Puer is an acquired taste, for sure. It also tends to be one of the most prized and sought after teas by serious tea connoisseurs. For those that love it, there is nothing else like it. We have some excellent non-flavored Puers in the tea shop and are always adding new ones. One of the greatest satisfactions we get is when we introduce someone to a new tea and it becomes an old favorite!
